Thursday 19th July

Bat Walk

Learn about the bats that come and visit the Common at night and listen to their calls on our bat detectors. See if you can spot a pipistrelle or brown long-eared bat as they fly around the trees.

Friday 27th July

Archaeological Taster Day

Come and learn about archaeology on the Common for a couple of hours on this popular event. You can have a go at digging to reveal some hidden artefacts or scan the area with a metal detector. Try sieving identifying. recording and cleaning your finds. All ages are welcome and no experience is necessary as all tools and instruction are provided

Thursday 25th October

Fungi Walk

Come on our fungi walk through the Common and seek out and identify the varieties of fungi that grow there. Also a chance to enjoy the autumn colours of this wonderful woodland.
