Thursday 27th July

Bat Walk

You’d be batty to miss our Bat Walk. Learn about the bats that come and visit the Common at night and listen to their calls on our bat detectors. See if you can spot a pipistrelle or brown long-eared bat as they fly around the trees.

Friday 27th October

Fungi Walk

Pull on your wellies and come on our fungi walk. Learn about and discover the different mushrooms and toadstools that grow on Southborough Common and see how the countryside and woodlands change as they move from autumn to winter.

Friday 28th July

Archaeology Community Education Day

Join us for a couple of hours to learn about how an archaeological site is planned, measured and recorded and have a go at surveying and some digging. See what you can find with a metal detector - you never know what might be unearthed!
